How to Get Started
- Review admission requirements.
- Complete online application and submit application fee.
- Submit official documents.
- Request all official transcripts be sent directly to Lamar from all colleges or universities attended. Save time by requesting transcripts be sent electronically.
Undergraduate Programs:
For entering freshmen, a complete application packet includes three components:
- An online application submitted through the statewide Apply Texas system
- An SAT or ACT score sent to Lamar University by the testing agency. Use SAT Code 6360 or ACT Code 4114
- A high school transcript sent to:

Transfer students should:

- Have official copies of all prior college and university transcripts send to Lamar University, regardless of the length of attendance and whether credit was earned

- Send a copy of your current teaching certificate if required.
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores are required of all graduate students and should be submitted prior to beginning the program. Students may enroll without GRE scores, but the GRE scores must be submitted before students can enroll in their third course.
