Graduation

Lamar University confers degrees 3 times a year, in May, August and December, and offers graduation ceremonies in each of those months. It is possible you will complete your degree requirements prior to the conferral and graduation date. If so, your degree will be conferred at the next available graduation.

Graduate Programs

If you are completing coursework for the M.Ed. degree, you must apply for graduation and pay the graduation fees, even if you are not attending the graduation ceremony. Both the application and the fees are required in order to receive your degree and have it conferred on your transcript.

* Students must complete 36 hours of coursework by this date. This includes completing the internship class.

Undergraduate Programs

If you are completing coursework for the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree, the Bachelor of General Studies, or the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree, you must apply for graduation and pay the graduation fees, even if you are not attending the graduation ceremony.
