YES! Baseball!! It has been a part of our family’s life for the last 17 years. So anything school-related for me was not even “in the ballpark”! Then my son, Baylor, hit the GRAND SLAM as he was off to college! That is when it hit me that we were in the 7th inning stretch of our lives and everything was about to slow down for a bit.

Well, that is what I thought. But here comes our 10 year old sharing in her own life! I quickly went from baseball mom to dance mom! I am now braiding hair, sewing dance costumes and sitting in the air conditioning instead of the sun!

BUT… It was time for ME to live life like a 3-1 count. I could sit and watch life go on or GO FOR IT. So here I am in my second class of my master’s program in Educational Administration taking some fast balls and swinging for the fences with others. My high school sweetheart of 23 years is all-in and we are taking this one step at a time. He may head to the ball field a little more than me these days, but we are on the same team as we continue to make my dreams come true! I may strike out every now and then, but I do know that my own GRAND SLAM is in my near future. So let me help take you out to the old ball game and share in my nine innings.
