This summer has been very busy with school, work, and two of my oldest children leaving for college – one is headed to Colorado in August, and the other one is headed to Ohio. These are exciting times. Without the convenience of Lamar’s program, I could not juggle all I do. Also, working toward my master’s degree has been a great example to my children. Not to mention, I have learned so much in my Clinical Mental Health Program that has helped me even in my personal life.
As the summer presses onward, I have one-and-a-half more weeks left of my summer class. Then, the next five-week class will begin shortly thereafter. By the end of the summer, I will be more than a third of the way through the program. This is exciting news. It will be gratifying next year to say I finished this online graduate program. I have encouraged many of my friends to follow suit. Hopefully, they will. Improving my life and my career path is well worth all the hours spent.
Thankful for Lamar University

August was an interesting month. School was delayed due to the water issues in Beaumont; there were students and teachers stranded, and in my city, Dallas, drivers were afraid they would run out of fuel.
