M.Ed. in School Counseling
First class start date: May 2016
Anticipated Graduation date: May 2018
Public Speaking Teacher
My name is Daniel Taylor and I am a graduate student here at Lamar University. I am currently seeking a Master of Education in School Counseling. I have been a public school educator for the last 12 years. Seven of those years were spent at the high school level and five of those years were spent at the middle school level. I currently reside in the Dallas area, but I grew up in a small town in East Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Theatre/Speech, and I have a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration. Both of these degrees I received from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I currently work for Dallas Independent School District as a Public Speaking & Theatre Arts teacher. I am an avid reader of new plays as well as thriller, suspense, and mystery novels. In my spare time, I love to attend live theatre at the Dallas Theatre Center, Kalita Humphrey’s Theatre, and Dallas Music Hall. Hopefully by this time next year, I will be going into my final stretch of becoming a Texas certified school counselor.
