  • What's the best advice that you could give your students?

    View all teachers as professionals. View all students as perfect in who they are now and on a journey toward being remarkable adults.

    Ask and It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in the profession in which you teach?

    Acting from character instead of reputation, being oneself and never playing a role, admitting and learning from mistakes, developing trusting relationships with others, and seeing the humor in everything.

  • What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in educational administration face today?

    Trying to maintain a centuries-old rating, ranking and weeding out system, especially with the new generation of students that demand reason. Change is the biggest challenge.

  • Tell us something your students may not know about you.

    I switched from an MBA program to educational administration after working in a private residential psychiatric center for emotionally disturbed adolescents. I decided to help those in need instead of maximizing profits for the wealthy.
