Invited speaker to the Chu Hai International conference on International Economic Linkages, as well as a twice-invited speaker at the Conference of the International Economics and Finance Society. Numerous articles published in Citation Index (SCI) journals, referee service for over 20 SCI journals and many presentations at economic conferences.

    My lifetime goal was to be a scholar. Since I chose economics as my specialty, the best way was being an academician who does research and college teaching.

    Be patient and focus on your life-time goal.

  • What's the best advice that you could give your students?

    Be serious about what you chose to do. Once chosen, try with patience until the choice turns out to be a wrong one.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in the profession in which you teach?

    Patience and talent.

  • What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in the profession face today?

    Problem of unfair assessment and populism. Especially, the short-sightedness effect (i.e., favoritism toward a task with clear benefit and hidden cost) renders misallocation of resources to the society.
