Which course has the 30 hours of observation imbedded?
Students will start observation hours in their first course PEDG 5330 and will have the opportunity to complete observation hours throughout the program (in all courses) but must be finished before the Internship PEDG 5383. Lamar does not want to limit students to opportunities for observations just in one course.
Does the one year of paid internship coincide with them taking classes?

Will waiting to take the TSIA delay receiving a decision from Lamar University?
While waiting to take the TSIA will not delay receiving a decision, it will delay registration. Without test scores or qualifying exemptions, you are unable to be registered for your course.

Can I transfer technical courses?
No. Lamar University does not accept technical coursework as transfer credit.
How do I update my start date, course, major or personal information?
If you have not been accepted to the program, please send an email including your student ID. For graduate students please send an email to [email protected]. For undergraduate students please send an email to [email protected].
Am I eligible to enroll based on my home state?

No, you must be six hours in a long semester unless you are an undergraduate and eligible for a Pell Grant.
When will federal student loans be disbursed to first-time freshmen?
First-time freshmen may have a delay in receiving their funds due to the required 30-day delay for loan processing for first-time students.
Why am I not processed for financial aid yet, even though I turned in all of my required documents?
In order to be processed for financial aid, students must be enrolled in their courses. Enrolling in courses at the last minute could cause a delay in the student’s financial aid.
