Career Highlights:

I have authored a dozen or so journal articles, proceedings and presentations. I have also earned a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and have collaborated with national level researchers on multiple grants. I have developed and taught numerous operations, supply chain, and transportation and logistics related courses, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

    I truly enjoyed being in school and learning. My dean encouraged me to pursue my PhD. Once in the PhD program, I began teaching as an assistant, and I found I really enjoyed it.

    Do not let the sun go down on your anger.

    The Law by Frédéric Bastiat

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in the area in which you teach?

    Concept matter changes over time and as research progresses. So, an open mind is important. An ability to listen and willingness to accept that maybe someone else has a valid point even if it differs from your own.

  • What do you think is the biggest challenge high education institutions face today?

    The abundance of candidates, primarily due to degree mill institutions and those with low standards and academic rigor.
