I have been in higher education for over 30 years and have taught many different nursing courses. My expertise is in Disaster Nursing with a focus on Disaster Preparedness for Vulnerable Populations.

    Care of Communities, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Leadership and Management, Pathophysiology and Preceptorship in Nursing.

    I saw the impact my instructors made on my professional life and wanted to model that to future students.

    Always maintain your integrity and be respectful of others.

    Any book that gives you hope and comfort.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in nursing?

    Perseverance, flexibility and compassion.

  • What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in nursing face today?

    Feeling like you did everything you could for your patients/clients at the end of a workday.

  • How do you see online learning affecting the future of education?

    Online learning is allowing students who may never have an opportunity to attend a campus to pursue their careers. It has opened the door of education to many more people in our communities.
