The M.Ed. in Digital Learning and Leading is geared toward educators who are interested in broadening their digital roles on campus, at the district level and in corporations. Students will still be required to take the basic-level courses as well as a variety of others that will prepare them to be an effective element of change in their position. The coursework includes Leading Organizational Change, which explores leading digital change in our school systems and how to overcome resistance when launching these new programs. Another course, Assessing Digital Learning and Instruction, will prepare the teacher to quantify and assess students in digital learning environments, one of the most difficult things to do when integrating technology. Essential to the classroom, master’s students will also take Instructional Design in Online Learning, where they will learn the most effective instructional design for classroom or corporate implementation.
The M. Ed. in Digital Learning and Leading is designed as a master’s degree for educators who are passionate about change and innovation and want to integrate digital learning into a variety of environments, whether at school or within a corporation. The journey will not be an individual one, rather one about moving students, teachers and corporate executives to change.
